New York auto present postponed for first time since WWII over coronavirus

Organizers of the New York Worldwide Auto Present are suspending the 12-day convention till late-August because of the evolving coronavirus outbreak within the U.S.  the primary time the annual occasion has been rescheduled since WWII.

The general public present, which was set to start early subsequent month, is now scheduled for Aug. 28 by Sept. 6, the Larger New York Vehicle Sellers Affiliation, which owns and operates the present, introduced Tuesday.

"We're taking this extraordinary step to assist shield our attendees, exhibitors and all individuals from the coronavirus," Mark Schienberg, president of the seller group, mentioned in a press release. 

Based in 1900, the present hasn't been canceled or in any other case rescheduled since WWII, organizers mentioned.
