United Auto Employees union investigating sexual harassment claims

The United Auto Employees union is investigating claims of sexual harassment and discrimination in certainly one of its areas.

The union, in an emailed assertion Monday, confirmed it has employed an investigator to look into allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination in UAW Area 2B, which oversees employees from dozens of firms in Indiana and Ohio.

The assertion adopted the Wall Road Journal reporting two present feminine UAW staffers have alleged that Richard Rankin, the director of the area who holds a seat on the union's governing board, "repeatedly made sexually charged remarks that in a single occasion escalated to a bodily risk."
