Indiana will transfer its 2020 major to June 2 from the initially deliberate Could 2 in response to the lethal coronavirus outbreak, Gov. Eric Holcomb introduced on Friday.
"Right this moment I've taken motion to reschedule the election that will have been on Could 5 to June 2," Holcomb stated in a briefing Friday.
"My view on that fast-approaching major election is it wanted to be pushed again with the intention to once more guarantee the security of our county workers, the ballot staff, and the voters themselves."
Indiana, with 82 delegates up for grabs, has turn out to be the most recent state to postpone its major due to looming threats introduced on by the coronavirus, which has roiled markets and contaminated a whole lot of hundreds of individuals globally.
