Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin mentioned Friday that the Trump administration would take into account suspending folks's scholar mortgage funds as half of a bigger technique to mitigate the financial penalties of the coronavirus.
"I can inform you that is on our checklist of 50 completely different objects we're bringing to the president for a call," Mnuchin instructed CNBC, after being requested if the administration would take into account granting debtors a three-month reprieve. "The president is all about motion, motion, motion."
Senate Democratic chief Chuck Schumer despatched a letter to the president on Wednesday with 30 Senate Democrats, asking him to grant six months of forgiveness for these with scholar debt.
