PSA CEO Tavares says China technique wants rethink after merger with Fiat Chrysler



RUEIL-MALMAISON, France -- PSA Group boss Carlos Tavares stated on Friday that the automaker and its future merger companion Fiat Chrysler Cars might want to evaluation their technique in China with a purpose to increase gross sales after the tie-up.

PSA and FCA are hoping to finalize a $50 billion merger in early 2021 that may create the fourth-biggest automaker on this planet.

"We're in China to remain, we have to discover a formulation with a purpose to succeed," Tavares stated.

Gross sales of PSA automobiles in China dropped by 55 % to 117,084 models in 2019 on account of fierce competitors from native rivals. Its manufacturing web site within the nation is tailor-made to supply 1 million vehicles per 12 months.
